Where Can I Use Medical Marijuana in New York?
New York allows adults who are at least 21 years old to consume cannabis products wherever smoking tobacco is allowed. However, marijuana is not permitted in the following scenarios:

- Any motor vehicle
- Outdoor dining areas at restaurants
- Traveling across state lines

Become a Medical Marijuana Caregiver in New York
Medical cannabis patients in New York can designate up to five caregivers to assist with all aspects of medical marijuana treatment, including purchasing, delivery, transportation, and administration of medical cannabis. Medical Cannabis for Minors in New York
If a patient is under the age of 18 or cannot consent to their medical treatment, they are required to have a designated caregiver to obtain medical marijuana. This caregiver must be 21 or older and one of the following: a parent caregiver or guardian; a representative approved by the OCM; or an employee of a designated caregiver facility.
